Between two lines, between two words, there is more than the space that gives them meaning. There is the passing of life, fear and breathing which slowly, gently, mends the gaps and reveals, in black and white, the arithmetic of time that has passed.

I was just writing to you to announce that I have been invited to do a work on peace by Barbara Polla, the fabulous gallery owner, writer and essayist, as part of the 6th Forever Books and to invite you to the presentation which will take place Wednesday October 11, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. in collaboration with Héros-Limite editions at Analix Forever.

Man is a chapel he never visits. In the chaos of time he aims to conquer, He constantly forgets his sacred strength. And so, he scatters it in harmful fires.

Passer d’une année à l’autre est à la fois anodin et vertigineux. En chaque début d’année, je me demande comment je vais me  renouveler, progresser, regarder d’ailleurs. Depuis quelques années je fais le même souhait, qui est peut être une résolution : laisser venir à moi ce qui est juste, sans chercher à le provoquer ni à le convoquer. C’est le jeu du je et du rien.

Il semble que dès décembre j’ai été exaucée

I am back in Timisoara, at the beginning of winter, to talk about nature with eminent researchers and artists. I am invited by the West University of Timisoara for a conference on the interconnections between art and nature. My talk is called “Wood, dead birds and water” on Thursday November 3rd, around 15:30

Do not forget the winter that I presented in Timisoara, sent back the reflections of the sky, of your gazes, and of reflections that I did not expect. It was About grace, dreams but also fears. Fears of men in balance. One felt endangered by the floods of creeping light, by the sky as if fallen on the floor of my traces, which made him think of a skeleton. For another, the mirrors sent him back to the mercury of Terminator, it seemed to him that an evil creature was about to be born from the luminous shadows. Or finally this one who had not even been able to go to the installation, the video Une vie soir, having paralyzed him, why on earth did these feet have to trample in endless blood ?

I have been invited by Tila Rudel, to create an installation for the night of philosophy on May 20th, 2022 at the Timisoara French Institute in Romania.

In the frost of February I went there and projected myself on the stretched shade of the trees on this small plot within the confines of the French Institute.

One could wonder what urgency there is to remember, to summon memory, but sometimes the past is combined with the present, history is falsified and the world fractures.

I set the scene to then let my thoughts wander in my next letters.

Geography of memory is the name of a piece of furniture, made of antic boxes and drawer, assembled in a heterogeneous construction to contain artworks-traces. Created in New York in 2016 for Call In, it represented the past in the beautiful raw space of the Chimney NYC.

A cocoon, a wooden family tree in the making, had been wrapped on the spot, in glass with Andrew Erdos and hung 6 meters from the ground in the center of the gallery, it was the place of gestation. The future was a projection of the video Renommée 2 on the ceiling just above the exit door.

Last January I have been invited to create the Victor Trophies imagined by Ashok Adiceam for the Fonds Paul Emile Victor and the Polar season which began with the government conference on Antarctica. I have imagined Ginkgo fossils caught in glass as they would be in ice.

Embrace, questions the cosmogony and presents glass sculptures, drawings and video. The installation will be on display from Saturday septembre 5th to November 23rd 2020 at Corte Dell’Arte Gallery.

Worlds, when not gathered in poems, are useless. It is not that I haven’t thought, shaped or draws words, but they haven’t gone from my senses to my heart, neither from my mind to my soul and then, were not worth sharing.
