Réfléchissements is the experience of encountering oneself. It’s an installation that comes into being as we discover ourselves. A walk through the projection of our inner worlds.
In a disused factory, where the space is raw, white and bare. The light and the visitor are reflected on works of glass, mirror-polished stainless steel and chrome. These are fleeting face-to-faces.
At the entrance, abandoned tombs reflect the space slightly sideway. There, not there, alive, dead. It is the end and it is also the beginning. Our reflections on the Monoliths draw their shapes by superimposing us on them, they disappear again as we move away from them, giving materiality to absence…

Facing the monoliths, the Glass Foules offer themselves only to those who look. Already we understand that it is inside that we must pay attention. These souls come from the future to prepare the world for their arrival. They are part of a great whole, their bronze predecessors, from the past forgive and liberate.

And then, under the large glass roof, three balanced mobiles project their shadows on the ground, as if to plunge into it. The Sapience are chromed family trees that manifest our vacillations and oscillations, zhey indicate our centers to dive into.
Upstairs, everything is metallic and cold.

The descent into the basement is a solitary, uncomfortable, mysterious, living journey.
We are the rock battered by the ocean. The video projected onto a salt floor and the sound of the waves about to cover us leave us no escape. It is a confrontation between fire and water. It is an exploration of our inner selves, of chaos to be tamed and transmuted into golden knowledge.

…This is purhaps the culmination of the journey. In the last room, on the walls, panels are crossed by the living blood that circulates within us, by the words of our conscious thoughts and the gold of the magic of our lives. They are like the light through our skin if we were to look from within. They are six, like the first six days of the world’s creation..
On the 7th day, God withdraws. There remains, in the center on a platform, a medicinal gauze, bearing the imprint of love which, the Song of Songs tells us, is the only place where water and fire coexist. This work is memory and hope. The elusive, unpronounceable present is already elsewhere. It closes and reopens the path of the Réfléchissements.
Straight up, with the invisible earth beneath our feet,  before our eyes a still fog and the creation of the world within us, ready for encounters, we rise again. And perhaps we will be able to hear Cécile Léonor Bahia’s healing song that was waiting for us.
